Hey, everybody! So it's been a while, eh? I'm pretty sure I can safely blame this on the chaos known as summer vacation, and trying to keep kiddos entertained whilst NOT losing my mind. It's easier said than done on some days, right?
Anyway, I wanted to apologize for the fact we didn't get an issue out for July, however, I hope you've been enjoying #SFFT. How many of you are participating? You've still got a few days to complete tasks and collect as many points as possible. We've had a lot of great donations and for that, we are eternally grateful. <3 Thanks to all the authors who pitched in to make sure we'd have some awesome prizes for this new event. While I've got your attention, I'd like to let you know that our next issue will be out on the 27th or 28th of August. The theme for our upcoming issue is 'togetherness'. I know the world seems so dark and ugly right now, but together we can definitely put out a positive vibe. With that said, ILM would like to have articles, short stories, and poems about spreading love, acceptance, and peace. I personally accept everybody for who they are. Everyone deserves respect and the opportunity to live. I am greatly saddened by the violence happening all over the world, and if I could change it, believe you me, I would. So will you help make issue #4 the best yet? We'd love to see what you come up with! Also, before I let you go, I'd like to tell you about an upcoming event from A Dollar From The Heart. It's to help an indie family in need. You can grab all the details by clicking HERE. Thanks for your time, and stay cool out there. I know this week has been insanely hot. As always, you can PM us with any questions you may have. Have a wonderful day, indies! -Tonya

We here at Indie Life Magazine have decided to do something super fun, where every reader can be involved. This is something that will require participation if you want to win some goodies, so please have a look at our first ever Web quest!
Remember: we will include a list of authors who are willing to participate at the bottom of this post. If you have another author in mind, you must have their permission to use their blurb or excerpt in a video. Those without permission will be automatically disqualified. Drawings and dressing as a character=fair game. In order to be eligible for a prize (some of them are pretty awesome!), you will need to go through this list and do some (or ALL) of the things. You will need to include the hashtag #SFFT, today’s date (or the date of the day you do it) and tag our page in your posts so we can find them. Want to be extra safe? Send your links to our FB page. *PRIZES WILL BE BASED ON A POINT SYSTEM. YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN UP TO 1,000 POINTS!* *A NEW TASK WILL BE LISTED DAILY. Of course, those who work hardest at completing the entire list will get something uh-mazing. We’ve got paperbacks, ebooks, swag, and gift cards to give away when this SUPER FREAKING FUN THING ends. Please note: We only have two paperbacks available to ship internationally. Therefore, if anyone across the pond should win and we’ve already selected winners for the two paperbacks, we will gift a gift card instead. We do apologize for this inconvenience and we know it sucks. BUT we are hoping more international authors will get involved so more paperback goodies can be given away. We will keep you updated on this. (However, we are so grateful we can ship at least two paperbacks internationally. Thanks for that!) GIFT CARDS – The gift cards are on reserve for our international friends. Should it prove they are not needed for international winners (ie: only two international readers complete the list and receive a paperback), we will then divvy up the gift cards between U.S. participants.) PAPERBACKS – The majority of our paperbacks that have been donated can only be shipped to residents in the U.S. We apologize for this inconvenience. EBOOKS – We have many to give away! Everyone who participates will at least receive one (1) ebook as a thank you for joining us on this little adventure. We will try very hard to make sure you get the title you want.
